There are excellent well crafted after market Monza caps available, built like the old traditional Monza caps, that eliminate the internal locking gas cap part of the Triumph oem cap. You just press and open the hinged cap and you insert the gas nozzle. To me, a locking gas cap is an unnecessary PIA.
